The New American Selected Poems

Mary Barnet was born in New York City in 1950 and has been writing and publishing her poetry since 1965. She has read her poetry to worldwide audiences and first read in public in 1967 in Greenwich Village s legendary Figaro Cafe. Most recently she read at the Baggot Inn on West 3rd St. in the Village. Mary resides in Ocean County, New Jersey with her husband Richard E. Schiff, editor of the Greenwich Village Gazette.
