The Ganga Trail: Foreign Accounts and Sketches of the River Scene

By the end of the 18th century, a number of acccomplished british landscapers artists appeared on the scene and made sketches while sailing the Ganga. Many of these drrawings were worked up into beautiful oil paintings and watercolours, or lithographs and engravings to illustrate their descriptions of the river scene.
