Last Chance for Golden Star

"Diablo...No!" Sunshine screamed horribly and went after Diablo with her teeth. The black horse, who hadn't reckoned on this attack, whinnied back furiously. Threateningly, he reared up on his hind legs and struck out at the pregnant mare. Sunshine saw the kicking hooves in front of her, but because of her condition and her exhaustion, she wasn't able to get far enough away, and Diablo hit her on the croup painfully before he set down on the ground again. Sunshine bent down under Diablo's weight and sank to the ground. "Imagine you find your dream horse. He's everything you ever wanted. Now imagine he turns into somebody else's nightmare..." Ricki and her friends think a long weekend at a fabulous horse estate is going to be the trip of their lives. They're right, of course, just not at all in a way any of them expects.
