Esta fabula vitalista, trufada de exquisitos elementos narrativos y liricos, es la obra fundamental de Nietzsche que, como nuevo mesias, predica la transformacion de la voluntad de poder del hombre hasta alcanzar la categoria nueva de superhombre. Zaratustra, trasunto del legendario filosofo persa Zoroastro, es para Nietzsche algo similar a lo que Juan el Bautista represento para Jesus de Nazaret.
