Allan Kardec, o Educador e o Codificador - Vol. I (Portuguese Edition)

This volume is divided into two parts: the first describes the life and work of H.L.D. Rivail, the noteworthy French educator, before he became ALLAN KARDEC, the Codifier of Spiritism. In this first part, consisting of 38 chapters, the authors highlight diverse topics such as Rivail’s birth, Pestalozzi’s influence, the prominent educator, pedagogic prolificacy, degrees and awards, and many others. The first part ends with an Appendix, in which a few controversial issues in Rivail/Kardec’s life are studied. In the second part of Volume I, the authors depict a panorama of Rivail’s beginnings as head missionary of the Spiritist Doctrine, which was preceded by the events in Hydesville with the Fox sisters, and by the so-called “turning and talking tables”. This part ends with a number of topics regarding Kardec in addition to several events related to Spiritism. Volume I also contains an enlightening Addendum concerning certain historical details connected to Rivail.
