Current and Future Perspectives on EC Competition Law (European Monographs Series Set)

This work tackles central controversies in the field of EC competition law in order to stimulate discussion on major policy areas. It includes important contributions on such key issues as: the Commission's attitude toward vertical restraints, the difficulties arising from the application of EC competition law by national administrations and national courts, the often unbalanced relationship between competition law and the consumer, the Commission's attitude toward joint ventures and toward public service obligations, the difficulties with the new Form A/B for notifications, and the wide ambit of the duty of Community loyalty imposed by Article 5 EC.

A series of distinguished practitioners, Commission officials, and academics from Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom have contributed thought-provoking papers that have lasting value to other practitioners, Community officials, academics, and students. The papers are the revised and updated results of a Conference held in Groningen to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Professor M.R.
