RAINING FOR OIL TANKERS, 2006 EDITION This course provides advanced, specialized training for those (e.g., masters and officers) on board oil tankers who have immediate responsibility for loading, discharging and care in transit or handling of oil cargoes. The coverage of oil tanker safety, fire safety measures and systems, prevention and control of pollution, operational practice and obligations under applicable laws and regulations complies with the mandatory minimum training required by regulation V/1 of STCW 1978, as amended in 1995, and the course also includes such training as is needed to apply the provisions of Annex I of MARPOL 73/78.
