The main aim of this Book has been to present a comprehensive piece of information on various aspects of sheep Farming and wool production in India. The book is intended primarily as a text book for under-graduate and post -graduate students majoring in Sheep Production and Breeding in Animal Sciences Colleges/Departments of various Universities in the country and for Research and Development workers as a reference. The book has 18 chapters covering the major facets of Sheep Production: the environment, breeds, systems of breeding, feeding, prevention and control of diseases, management, by-products and finally ending with Economics of sheep rearing.
