A beautiful girl, Whimsy, visits a reticent artist at his studio to learn painting. A poet herself - who converses eloquently about art, music and literature - involves the artist in her dialogue, breaking his tacitness. As the artist is inspired to open up, he talks at a relaxed poise. He also writes about his nostalgic past in his diary which he shares with the inquisitive Whimsy. His writings spreads through the art, its various genres and the sensibilities, poetry, and his feelings for her; she reads them all, subtly, thus becoming the protagonist of his writings.
