The book is translated by Anis Mansour; a well known Egyptian journalist and writer who writes a daily column in the national newspaper El-Ahram . His translation of the book is not a word by word translation as he added some of his own words and thoughts to the book. The book is a ranking of the most influential persons in history provided that those persons were: real people who are evidenced to exist, people who are known personally by their names and deeply influential internationally; not just locally. Finally the Author eliminated all the living persons. The Author named persons who were really great and whose influence lasted and was effective for a long time. The first on the list is Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him) as the Author believed he had such a great influence that lasts until this present moment.
