The poems emancipate peoples’ nationalistic consciousness and propel them to act rather than stomach different shade of injustices from bad leadership. The poems echo mental and physical revitalization. It is a call for nation to espouse unity in diversity, decent governance-earnestly sought by a great number of the populace. The raging muses urgently call for positive change that will transform patriotic narratives for the better. We deserve to sing joyous songs in our homes, workplaces, business, schools, and other public domain.Most of the poems constitute struggles, breakthroughs, and national validations of a failing system that must break itself from a dark circle of recurrent woes. The poems call to mind contemporary issues opposing bloodbath, ethnic cleansing, injustice, false federalism, and half-hearted attitude towards plight of the masses. Whatever plagues Nigeria is a transferred ache to Africa, Africa’s insufficiencies also causes unrest in the soul of the black man.
