This book lists all the current active bird species in the State of Penang with notes on their conservation status, synonyms of common names and Latin names. The book also lists species that have not been sighted in the State over the past 50 years, species that have been recorded but are still awaiting confirmation and species that have been dropped from the Penang bird checklist.
