It's not often that a cool action figure is accompanied by an even cooler playset in a package this small. The figure itself doesn't have as many articulation points as one would hope, but 19 isn't bad. This Spider-Man is lacking knee joints, but that doesn't hinder his ability to stand. And if you give his legs a squeeze, Spider-Man's wall-crawling action kicks in. The hero's sculpting is thorough, but the best part of this toy is the playset: it's a snap to put together and the attention to detail is amazing. The lamppost lights are done with colored plastic rather than just being painted on, the newspaper dispenser has a miniature version of the Daily Bugle, and the sidewalk even has a storm drain. --A.
