Web Services and the Banking Industry

Every organization is challenged with managing the rapid evolution of their business and technology environment against the constraints of resources and time. In order to remain successful, organizations need to close the gaps that have traditionally inhibited the process of identifying, evaluating, and implementing new business solutions. The financial services industry is a leading industry that tends to take advantage of new technology to increase its competitiveness. In this paper, we will look at how the financial industry is looking at Web Services, what Web Services mean to them, and what companies are doing. This includes two case studies, based on real companies' experience using Web Services to improve their competitiveness.
