Statistical Communication and Detection with Special Reference to Digital Data Processing of Radar and Seismic Signals

This book demonstrates the similarities beween radar and seismology. They both use waves to detect anamalies in the medium through which the waves propagate. The major problem in these two disciplines is the extraction of the desired return signal from the ever present noise. This is the problem to which this book is directed.
