From the supplier: The National Assn of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) revived the concept of a national licensing system for insurance brokers and agents by providing initial financing for a project that could produce a single licensing system. The NAIC has considered national licensing, favored by most producers, agents and brokers, several times in the past but failed to instigate actions. An NAIC committee will develop a producer data base, research existing state licensing laws and prepare the methodology and forms to be used in determining license eligibility.
