From the supplier: New Jersey Gov James Florio, on Jun 29, 1993, approved a law that protects insurance agents against lawsuits filed by automobile insurance policyholders who carry less than the state-mandated minimum amounts of bodily injury and property damage coverage. Under the state's automobile insurance reform law of 1990, insurance agents and producers are required to sell policies upon client request, regardless of companies selected or coverage amounts chosen. The new law exempts agents from errors and commissions suits when inadequate coverages are desired by clients.
