From the supplier: Chubb Corp and CNA Insurance Cos have offered to pay Fibreboard Corp as much as $3 billion to cover personal damage from asbestos claims filed against the company. Insurance industry observers expect the agreement will establish a precedent for highly expensive future insurance industry settlements.
