From the supplier: Allstate Insurance Co and State Farm Fire & Casualty Co are being sued for failing to pay for structural enhancements required by the building code for insured properties damaged by Hurricane Andrew. The lawsuit, which was filed by Dade County, FL, and the Dade County consumer advocate, alleges that the two insurance companies are using language in their policies to deny the cost of enhancements required by law. State farm has stated that its policy language precludes paying for the enhancements and that it will stick to its policy.
