From the supplier: Oral histories of women journalists are being recorded in a project of the Washington Press Club Foundation that was sponsored by the Freedom Forum. the object of the project is to give young women entering the field of journalism effective role models. Forty nine women journalists have taken part including Katherine Harris, formerly with Associated Press, Nina Totenberg of National Public Radio and independent news bureau owner Sarah McClendon. The transcripts will be available at 13 journalism schools and at the National Press Club.
