From the supplier: Manufacturers and building contractors in Eastern and Gulf of Mexico coastal states find it difficult to obtain inland marine insurance coverage as a result of the series of natural disasters during the last 12 months. Florida industries have been the hardest hit by the insurance shortage as builders risk insurance is almost unavailable in coastal areas. Insurers have raised rates on construction equipment insurance and Manufacturers Output Policies and have virtually eliminated windstorm coverage by adding enormous deductibles.
