From the supplier: A health care reform plan developed by Republican members of the House of Representatives has been endorsed by President Bush. It proposes to contain medical costs through managed care, changes in medical administration practices and malpractice reform. It would prevent physicians from having financial interests in institutions to which they refer patients, but would give physicians some antitrust immunity. House Minority Whip Newt Gingrich said health care reform would be passed by Apr 1993 if the Republicans won control of the House in the Nov 1992 elections.
