American businesses, diplomats and religious groups are the main targets of Latin American terrorists. While population growth and overall poverty cause the increase of Africa's crime rate, Asian crime rate is declining despite student unrest in South Korea and kidnappings in the Philippines. Violence in the Middle East, Western Europe and Russia, meanwhile, is expected to continue.
