From the supplier: The Management Assn for Private Photogrammetric Surveyors (MAPPS) adopted a multidimensional program to establish close ties with lawmakers. The association encouraged its members to write letters to elected officials, invited officials to association meetings and maintained a political action committee. In addition, MAPPS held conferences in Washington, DC and invited elected officials to members' facilities. This program of empowerment increased the members' involvement and effectiveness in dealing with government relations issues.
