From the supplier: Lawyers representing mothers whose newborns have contracted Group B streptococcal infection during or before delivery should review all medical records to find out whether the infection or one of its complications was diagnosed or whether the mother was at high risk for passing on the infection. If either of these factors holds true and no preventive treatment was administered, the case is probably worthlitigating. Expert witnesses are essential to help prove liability. Possible defendants include physicians involved in prenatal care, labor or delivery, hospital nurses and the hospital itself.
