From the supplier: A survey of security professionals in financial institutions shows that 61% of respondents reported funding increases for security departments. Security concerns included robbery (22%) and fraud (19%) as major items, followed by ATM crime, credit card forgeries, internal theft and disaster management. The survey also reported an increase in concern about personal safety which has led employees to cooperate with security officials. About 46% of the respondents said that media reports on security issues have made management more considerate of requests made by their security departments.
