Hall Pres Peter Pruitt, in remarks before the Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters' New York Chapter, described the behavior of the insurance industry in the wake of Hurricane Andrew in shining terms. Pruitt claimed that the insurance industry was more important than the federal government in helping southern Florida recover from the disaster. Pruitt stated that the acquisition of Frank B. Hall by Aon Corp, which he expected to be completed in Nov 1992, is part of the globalization of the industry.
