From the supplier: Notice 88-78 has been revoked by the final regulations promulgated under IRC section 263A, leaving taxpayers with little guidance on how to file for accounting method changes due to failure to apply section 263A properly. For tax years beginning with 1994, taxpayers will have to use more restrictive accounting method change guidelines. Some taxpayers will be allowed to apply positive adjustments made pursuant to the accounting method change to their net operating losses.
