From the supplier: The Southern African Economic Research Unit (SAERU) claims that transfer pricing of platinum and other minerals have resulted in the massive flight of capital from South Africa. SAERU's Peter Robbin's thesis is that the transfer of profits is done by pricing minerals below their market price with the difference padded by the sellers' commission. A total of $3 billion of capital left South Africa in the second half of 1993 and $1.2 billion in 1st qtr of 1994.
