From the supplier: The cost of protecionism in a model of imperfect substitutes can be calculated using a method employed by the Federal and International Trade Commissions of the United States, though certain conditions must be met. These include zero income demand elasticities for the products concerned, and linear supply and demand functions. The International Trade Commissions model can also employed for a range of public finance problems.
