From the supplier: Alfred and Aminy Audi acquired the L. & J.G Stickley furniture company in 1983 against good advice from business people. Although it had a good name and heritage behind it, the company had no products to sell. The Audis nursed the company through tough times until the demand for Stickley pieces gradually rose. Barbara Streisand helped chalk up sales for Stickley designs when she bought an antique Stickley sideboard at Christie's and since then, there has been a steady demand for the company's products.
