From the supplier: A controlled flow pressure device inside a crosshead die helps in uniform distribution of extrudate, which is important to manufacturers of rubber covered rolls. Current ways of extruding rubber over a core waste time and materials due to an uneven flow of material across the crosshead die design. The Genca Corp crosshead helicoid design provides an even flow of extrudate, thus avoiding these problems. Other benefits of the process are described.
