From the supplier: Aviation losses for underwriters worldwide could surpass $2 billion during 1994, following the fatal November crash of the American Eagle Super ATR-72 in Indiana. Two other fatal crashes had occurred since July, bringing aviation losses to $1.5 billion. Most of the coverage for the American Eagle crash is held by British and French insurers, with a London, England, consortium led by Alexander Howden Aviation holding 40%. La Concorde Assurance in Paris is responsible for one quarter of the coverage.
