From the supplier: Robert Zises founded the Stolen Computer Registry in 1990. Zises, the president of a used computer business, began the Registry after coming across some suspicious computer equipment only to discover that he had no way of checking if they were legitimate merchandise. The Registry now operates an online database on which registered users can report stolen computers free of charge. In return, security experts and computer resellers can check their goods against the Registry's database. The program also has a reward program in place for the recovery of stolen computer equipment.
