From the supplier: The Lausanne Congress of 1974 and the Lausanne movement that it generated has influenced the direction of evangelical Christians. A Lausanne Covenant that was drafted during the congress integrated missionary work for evangelists. However, the text generated several negative reactions, which led to the 1976 Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization in Mexico City. The committee formed four consultative groups from 1977 to 1982 to answer criticisms over the original covenant.
