From the supplier: Kenneth L. Way is the chairman and chief executive of the successful Lear Seating Corp. The company has become the leader in the automobile seat market as a result of his strategy to keep overhead low, maintain a strong cash flow, maximize the quality of customer service and actively develop new products. The decision of Way to erect plants at locations adjacent to automobile factories enabled the company to provide just-in-time delivery. As of 1995, it has 79 factories in 17 countries, selling to almost every big automaker around the world. Its main products now include complete seats, headrests and armrests. Way plans to further expand Lear Seating through acquisitions and introduction of new products, such as luxury seats and interior trim items. He also intends to boost operations in Asia, Eastern Europe and South America.
