From the supplier: A lawyer's second trial taught her the importance of flexibility, attention to the jury, and use of a simple theme. In a complex securities fraud case she alone opposed an experienced team, and developed a complex opening statement. When opposing counsel gave its opening the jury became confused, so the attorney discarded her prepared statement in favor of three basic points. She returned to each of these points with every witness, creating continuity.
