From the supplier: The accomplishments of African American women in the field of sports organizations and physical education are seldom published. There are few reports on the experiences, goals and professional achievements of women of color. A number of outstanding women of color have been serving as national and international sports leaders. Despite negative social realities such as racial stereotyping of passivity and inferiority in the work environment, these women have been able to achieve excellence in sports and in their careers with the support of their families and communities.
