From the supplier: Composer Luigi Zaninelli, a long-time student of Alex North's movie scores, notes that often the music is far back in the mix to enable the audience to hear the dialogue. Often a key word activates the music. Solo instruments often play leitmotifs. North wrote the music for two film adaptations of Tennessee Williams plays, 'A Streetcar Named Desire' in 1951 and 'The Rose Tattoo' in 1955. North began his career in movie music in 1937 when he composed the music for two documentaries. He had built his reputation as a composer through work for ballet and the live theater.
