From the supplier: Insurers are opposing a product-liability reform measure that would transfer fault to the workers' compensation system. Product makers would be able to claim that injuries were caused by employers or co-employees, not by the products being used. Evidence of employer or co-employee fault would be used to reduce the amount of damages assessed against product makers and against insurers' subrogation liens. Insurers fear the latter would be eliminated entirely.
