From the supplier: A study was conducted to examine the critical human issues in technology implementations (HITI). The HITI initiatives of two airframe contractors for the US Air Force were investigated. Results demonstrated the need for early and significant employee participation in the planning and selection of new technology. It was also discovered that the selection of employees to best satisfy the greater demands of new technology needs to be addressed. Decision levels, empowerment and morale should also be considered.
