From the supplier: The Financial Accounting Standards Board has introduced Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (SFAS) No. 122, 'Accounting for Mortgage Servicing Rights.' Amending SFAS No. 65, 'Accounting for Certain Mortgage Banking Activities,' SFAS No. 122 abolishes the differences in accounting for mortgage servicing rights related to loan origination activities and loans acquired via purchase transactions.
