Drawing on his vision of the law as constantly evolving to come to grips with change in social conditions, the Foundation published the Civil Justice Digest quarterly, sponsors annual roundtable discussions, and promotes academic research and other publishing. Among other successes, it spawned the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the American Lawyers Code of Conduct.
