From the supplier: Johnson and Higgins (J&H) and Captive Resources have created Columbus Insurance Ltd. to provide alternative risk financing for companies that are in the mid-size range. The new facility will be based in the Cayman Islands and administrated by Captives Resources for J&H clients. The captive company is the latest in a new trend to serve the mid-size corporate market. One source predicted that the market would grow from less than 10% of the alternative risk market to 20%-30% by summer 1997.
