From the supplier: Insurance companies that use older computers need to prepare for problems with dating after Dec 31, 1999. The entire staff should be involved in solving the problem, a budget should be devoted to the work, a plan should be designed, and records should be kept of changes as they are made. After all references to dates have been corrected, the changes should be rechecked for correctness. USF&G planned ahead by selecting vendors to correct improper dates on the company's computer systems.
