From the supplier: The system of early voting is popular and includes unrestricted absentee voting, walk-in early voting, and mail-ballot elections. Despite the scheme's popularity in select states, overall voter turnout remains mixed. Two important arguments in favor of early voting are the importance of local politics and better informed voting. Arguments against it are of premature voting and a reduced sense of community. Both the merits and the demerits of early voting must be assessed by the policymakers before formulating policies towards voter convenience.
