From the supplier: Image Processing for Teaching (IPT) is a program developed by the University of Arizona in response to a challenge by the National Science Foundation (NSF) for educators to provide projects using high technology in the classroom. The project's initial objective was to use imaging technology to make science and mathematics more appealing to students who have traditional shunned the topics. After six years, it has proved successful. IPT provides students with the opportunity to refine the problem-solving skills, enhances image- and computing-related technical skills, and enables students to learn skills that can directly be used in the workplace. IPT programs are available on CD-ROMs that include images and the necessary software to run the program.
