From the supplier: Crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) tunnel vision is an attitude adopted by people who have been victims of robbery and break-ins characterized by their excessive and ineffective investments in security systems. These people exhibit overreliance on CPTED. To promote the credibility of CPTED, security managers should develop policies with regard to its applications. Emphasis should be placed on the philosophy of prevention through principles which would reduce opportunities to commit a crime.
