From the supplier: The role of competition in children's physical activity programs has been the topic of many debates. Although some claim that competitive games help prepare children for nonsport competition, others contend that competitive games must be replaced with cooperative games that will include all children. However, physical educators must realize that the child's potential for success in a given game, rather than the game's competitiveness or cooperativeness, is more important.
