From the supplier: 'Educational' sex videos available in the mass market tend to reinforce stereotypes about sexuality. Consumer demand for such products reflects the dearth of accurate, readily available information on the subject. The videos suggest, for example, that sex is equivalent to intercourse. Moreover, technical proficiency is equated with great sex. Great sex is also shown as the province of the privileged, the most attractive people in luxurious settings. Some sex videos do provide something of value, such as permission to try new things, and a few do challenge prevailing stereotypes.
